Creekside currently offers many before school, after school and break time clubs, to enhance student engagement. Some of the clubs which currently run are listed below.
Breakfast Club
Students are welcome to come and have some toast, cereal and hot chocolate on a Monday and Friday morning. As we know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so we want to make sure that our students have had something to eat before entering the classroom.
Chess Club
It’s always great to see students playing chess in the Wellbeing room each week. Students compete in a very friendly environment, all trying to become the next Grandmaster.
Gardening Club
Even on the coldest days, students are always excited to get into the garden and plant some vegies. The gardening club is always very popular, with produce from the garden typically given to students as raffle prizes.
Passive Play
Students enjoy the opportunity to play some board or cards games in the Wellbeing room each week. Often students will just sit and read quietly with friends. Passive Play is all about being in a low key environment where students can just ‘chill out.’
Homework Clubs
In some year levels students are given the opportunity to receive extra support in the learning in after school homework clubs.
Creekside K-9 College will instil the values and develop the skills and knowledge students need to live effective and purposeful lives in the global community.
